The “TRE PASSI UMBRI” BREVET is a permanent cycle tourism route that draws on the myth of the “Tre Passi Umbri” climb. It aims to encourage the influx of two-wheel enthusiasts to beautiful Umbria by proposing an “unhurried” sporting challenge. Completing one of the two routes earns a CERTIFICATE for the 95 km route and a BREVET for the 125 km route. The itineraries are for cycle tourism and can be ridden using road bikes, gravel bikes, or e-bikes (bikepacking wild), thereby spreading knowledge of the territory and appreciation of Umbria’s historical, cultural, and food & wine beauties.<\/pee> <\/section>\n

The “Tre Passi Umbri” Brevet is neither a sports competition nor a competitive event. There is no maximum time limit, nor are there prizes in goods and\/or cash. Instead, a digital format of the 125 km Brevet or 95 km Certificate will be sent upon completion of the chosen route, proven by the 7 checkpoints along the itineraries. 2026 NOVELTY! <\/strong>The top 3 Clubs will be awarded a participation Brevet: “Gold”, “Silver”, and “Bronze” (minimum 15 registered members).<\/pee> <\/section>\n

Participation is voluntary and at the participant’s sole responsibility. Purchasing the Travel Log acts as a self-declaration, under one’s own responsibility, of possessing a medical certificate confirming fitness for sports activities. Due to their length and elevation gain, both routes require an adequate level of physical preparation and training. Therefore, the free choice to participate in the initiative and select the route best suited to one’s fitness level is the individual responsibility of each participant. Art. 6 – Safekeeping<\/div>\n

Participants are advised that bars\/restaurants\/trattorias\/grocery stores along the way do not have an indoor room to securely store or rest their bikes during lunch\/coffee breaks. Neither the business owners nor a.S.D. Tre passi umbri – cicli scocchetti can be held liable in any way for any unfortunate theft of bicycles or other sporting and non-sporting equipment. Every participant is therefore urged to take the utmost care of their equipment, as they are solely responsible for any theft suffered.<\/pee> <\/div>\n

Art. 7 – Benefits<\/div>\n

The purchased travel log entitles you to sponsor discounts (hotels, restaurants, etc…) for the entire current year and to a single participation for the “Brevet” or “Certificate” on the 95km and 125km routes. This can be done on any day and time or over multiple days as stages, provided it is within the designated months: from may 1st to september 30th.<\/pee> <\/div>\n

Art. 10 – WARNINGS<\/div>\n

All roads on the two “Tre Passi Umbri Brevet” routes are open to vehicular traffic in both directions. Therefore, it is strictly recommended to obey traffic laws, wear a protective helmet, always have front\/rear bike lights on, ride in single file, and take the utmost care of bike components such as tires, brakes, etc. Exercise extreme caution on descents when tackling very technical sections, as well as on flat roads. In any case, A.S.D. Tre Passi Umbri – Cicli Scocchetti assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury occurring during activities related to the 125 km and 95 km “Tre Passi Umbri” routes, which remain exclusively the responsibility of the individual participant.<\/pee> <\/section>\n

Art. 11 – Weather<\/div>\n

We recommend checking the weather conditions before departing; the altitudes of the 1st Spina Pass (944 m), Soglio Pass (828 m), 2nd Gavelli\/Capistrello Pass (1211 m), and 3rd Forca di Cerro Pass (734 m) are mid\/high mountain. Therefore, heavy thunderstorms make riding conditions unfavorable. It is strongly advised against tackling the routes in bad weather, which can make the roads more dangerous and certainly less enjoyable for conquering the “Brevet” or “Certificate”. Also, since there is no maximum time limit to obtain them, you can start any day during the 5 designated months, from May 1st to September 30th.<\/pee> <\/div>\n

Art. 12 – Resources<\/div>\n

The itineraries are demanding, so we recommend departing with adequate food and water resources. However, along the route, there are bars, grocery stores, trattorias, and restaurants for every need, in addition to springs and water fountains that will be signposted and where you can refill your water.<\/pee> <\/div>\n

Please do not throw wrappers or trash along the routes. Good manners and respect for the environment are basic principles and fundamental prerequisites for participating.<\/pee> <\/div>\n

We recommend tackling the routes with others, to better appreciate the places you pass through, the climbs, and the good food for those wishing to stop for a short break.<\/pee> <\/div>\n

The “Tre Passi Umbri” Cycling Tour is open to all participants who are at least 18 years old on the days of the event. Specifically, the maximum age permitted for the 125 km route is 69, whereas the 95 km route is open to all participants, with the requirement to present a specific medical certificate (valid for 6 months) for those aged 75 and over. The rules and regulations of the organizing ASD’s governing body apply.<\/pee> <\/section>\n

The properly completed WAIVER must be sent or handed in at the time of purchasing the Travel Log, along with a copy of the “Bank Transfer” receipt.<\/pee><\/p>\n
